FX DESIGN GROUP’s PAUL MEENA INUDCTED TO THE DAVE SCHOOL “HALL OF FAME” FOR HIS OUTSTANDING SERVICE AND PARTNERSHIP
During his days as the GM/VP of the Production Group at Universal Studios Orlando, Paul Meena helped Jeff Scheetz’s dream of starting a Digital Animation and Visual Effects (DAVE) School find a home at Universal Studios. Due to Meena’s efforts DAVE School found a fitting home on the Universal back lot to grow and thrive.
In June the “DAVE School Hall of Fame” was established to honor those individuals who have made significant contributions to the institution and/or graduates who have excelled in the visual effects and animation field. The inaugural inductees were Anne & Jeff Scheetz, founders of the school.
Thanks to Meena’s instrumental role in understanding and acknowledging the passion that Jeffrey had for the school, DAVE School was established on the Universal Studios Backlot. Meena’s efforts in structuring an affordable rental agreement assisted in the school’s launch. Associate Director, Brad Murphy commented “we no doubt owe much of our ongoing success to Paul’s assistance and support during our early years.”
The trophy of recognition will be presented during DAVE School’s graduation festivities this Wednesday, September 19th at the City Walk AMC Theatres. School founders Jeff and Anne Scheetz will be on hand to present the award and say a few words about Meena’s contributions to DAVE School.
