Bay News 9, the 24-hour cable news network serving the Tampa, Fla., area hired FX Design Group to design its three studios and newsroom. FX also designed the sets for Bay News 9′s sister network, CFN 13. The length of the newsroom is lined with a faux two-story branded wall featuring graphic vignettes of the the Tampa viewing area.

FX Design Group delivered a fresh, colorful set that matches the casual lifestyle of Western Florida. The main set includes a traditional anchor desk with rollaway duratran that reveals the newsroom, giving this single set two distinct looks. A morning set includes movable branded panels that, when slid aside, reveal a sunrise duratran.

In addition to this studio, FX Design Group designed Bay News 9′s working weather studio, newsroom,a separate set for the channel’s Spanish-language programming and a sports set designed to look like den — and complete with jukebox, sports memorabilia and popcorn machine.
